$VANTA Asset
Applications
Vanta fits work that can be reduced to a deterministic statement with an economical verification path.
Strong early candidates
State transforms
Large deterministic batches whose compact state transition can be checked far more cheaply than replayed.
Commitment builds
Merkle roots, indexed summaries, and canonical encodings derived from publicly committed datasets.
Bounded inference
Fixed-model, fixed-precision inference where the model digest and arithmetic relation are committed in advance.
Admission questions
- Can two honest implementations produce the same encoded output?
- Can the verifier bind the exact program version and every relevant input?
- Is verification materially cheaper than executing the workload again?
- Can required output data remain available after its commitment settles?
- Is failure objectively attributable when collateral is involved?
Poor fits
Subjective creative judgments, changing external facts without an oracle, human moderation, legally ambiguous outcomes, and nondeterministic software do not become trustworthy merely because a hash or proof is attached. Vanta settles the relation a verifier implements; it cannot strengthen an underspecified claim.
Launch discipline
The first public workload should be intentionally narrow: one canonical implementation, one versioned verifier, published test vectors, bounded resource requirements, and enough observability to compare operator cost against verification cost. General-purpose claims come later.
