$VANTA Asset

The $VANTA role

$VANTA is proposed as the application asset of the Vanta compute market. Its purpose is to connect funded demand to verifier-approved execution without becoming the host chain's money or security model.

Not issuedDraft 0.1 defines utility boundaries only. It publishes no canonical contract, address, supply, allocation, sale, airdrop, or launch schedule.

Value follows accepted work

When token-aware settlement exists, a requester may deposit $VANTA against a supported task. Successful verification divides the funded balance between operator compensation and the charge fixed at task creation. Expiry restores the untouched balance. No administrator decides which result deserves payment after the fact.

01DepositValue is locked against immutable terms.
02RunAn operator performs the declared computation.
03CheckThe selected adapter evaluates bound evidence.
04ResolveBalances become claimable or refundable.

Proposed protocol functions

Task fundingAn eligible escrow asset for workloads that explicitly opt into $VANTA settlement.
Operator paymentCompensation released only when the selected verifier accepts the submitted statement and beneficiary.
Protocol chargeA prospective amount fixed before execution and credited only after a successful resolution.
Objective collateralA future reserved-execution bond that can respond only to failures contracts can determine unambiguously.

Explicit exclusions

  • $VANTA is not the native coin of a Vanta layer one.
  • It cannot pay the host chain's mandatory gas by default.
  • Ownership does not confer authority over individual verification outcomes.
  • The asset cannot correct a flawed program, malformed input, or unsound verifier.
  • Token escrow is outside the current native-value reference boundary.

Requirements before activation

$VANTA support requires a separately reviewed token implementation, allowlisted token escrow with exact-balance accounting, treatment for nonstandard transfers, adversarial tests, reproducible deployment manifests, and independent security review.
